A project engaged in transforming the concept of holidays, LAM Club is for unquiet dreamers, people searching for authentic adventurous voyages.

Itinerant, compromised with sustainability and developing local resources, it explores faraway places near breath-taking landscapes. LAM proposes an experience of holistic vacations, in close contact with nearby communities and a profound respect for the value of the sacred places they occupy.  Actively adopting environmental practices that reduce the ecological footprint.

The Communication Project

The challenge for this project came from FLAGWORLD Group, an entrepreneurship in the field of leisure and hotel management. They wanted us to create the visual identity of their newest and most “out-of-the box” project. The briefing was quite clear: ecology and sustainability had a huge impact in the overall image, but also engagement with local nature and people.

We decided to create a simple, clear graphic language that arose from a wide photographic field work. Our communication strategy was focused on what really mattered: the various aspects of the landscape we found, enhancing its wild, virgin nature. If LAM is made of ephemeral constructions, we decided to add very simple graphic elements that signalized these infrastructures, but mainly, the idea that the natural spirit of the landscape remains sacredly untouched.

In the summer of 2016 LAM Club was in Alter-do-Chão, a huge estate in interior central Portugal. With a caring team, food produced locally, a spacious spread out lagoon in front of the pool. The main accommodation facilities were safari themed tents spread in smooth hills in front of the lagoon, that would entirely disappear, leaving the space intact after this brief human occupation.
It was an all included vacation, that entitled participants with a flight baptism in a hot air balloon, horseback riding, wind surf workshops or even strolls with the herbs of sheep! Those who tried it claimed to have left with their “heart overflowing”.

Horseback riding, one of the many activities available in Alter-do-Chão.

Promotion Billboard: “Lam Cub: All included vacations, even loads of fun!”

As part of the communication project, we developed the website, but also printed material including the illustration of a map diagram with all the available spaces to discover.

Presently, a new edition of LAM Club is being prepared for 2018. New location, in Ponte-de-Sôr county. New shelters made of cork, locally produced. New  objectives for sustainability: 100% production of all energy needed, through alternative and clean sources, such as photovoltaic panels. New and engaging activities.

Hands-on, minds-on, hearts on, LAM Club bets on developing as a group of people who dare to interact, think and have lots of fun together!

Photos by António Alte da Veiga Following 2016’s communication strategy, we started with a thorough field photographic work, looking for the soul and true nature of this space.

LAM found Paradise on Earth, and yes, it’s located in deep Alentejo. What we found was breathtaking, a beautiful spread out lagoon formed by  Montargil’s dam, with smooth hills and a wide variety of autoctone trees in shades of olive, dry and profound greens that contrast with the earth like tones of the sand that naturally surrounds it.

2018’s edition preparation is undergoing. We are working on the online digital platform and all it’s contents, including strategy, copywrite, website design and development, booking system and photography. Also we were responsible for  FLAGWORLD’s stand design for Lisbon’s 2017 international travel market (BTL), including the first public appearance of this project.
